Well, the honeymoon period is over and the side effects have come as you could have told me they would.
The skeletal aches, in muscles and body bones, started yesterday afternoon. Uncomfortable to sit or walk or rest. Tiredness more than I've ever felt before. Couldn't settle for sleep last night in spite of all usual pain relievers. Tramadol just makes me so drowsy but doesn't really push me into nod. Rough night having to get up every half to one hour, just to change position. Tried getting up and making a cup of tea at 3am and laying the table for breakfast. Some success thereafter.
Have felt like doing nothing today but not able to rest comfortably. Did a little local shopping but walking is slow and painful. I must look like a very old man at the moment. Appetite going and nothing tastes right. Tea and toast, -ugh!!. Cereal with milk is still OK and so is honeydew melon. Thick head and feeling unwell but not feverish. A bonus;- PU is now much easier. I can stand at the bowl and just go like a normal man! Good stream though a bit sore to pass. Fluids increased and feel better there. Checked with the chemo nurse at the hospital. Yes, told all these side effects are to be expected and will pass in a few days. Warned again about reporting fever. Just feel poisoned!
Well, you experienced chemo men could have told me.
