The PTBs Must Have Heard Me!

1 minute read time.

Two month's ago the doctors, specialists, onocologist et al had my brother dead and buried within a very short space of time.  His liver had virtually stopped functioning, his blood wasn't good, his kidneys were starting to fail and his bones were not looking too good either.

Yesterday he had his 4th chemo session and also got the results of tests they did on Monday.  His bones and blood are great, his kidneys are back to functioning properly and his liver has regenerated to the point where it is virtually functioning normally.  All the doctors, specialists and oncologist are absolutely amazed at this and one of them said he has never seen a recovery like it in such a short space of time.

The war is well and truly on and my gorgeous brother Gordy has won the first huge battle.  We all know it's going to be a long hard fight but with this news we are all absolutely buzzing and living in hope that it continues.

Whoever answered my screams, shouts and prayers thank you!  He's a fantastic bloke and the thought of losing him so quickly was simply too much to bear.

And it's Gordy's birthday on Monday - yes Halloween which could explain a lot!  It's my nephew's birthday too so we are going to have a day full of celebration.

Much love,

Nin xxxx

'The Powers That Be' - LM!  Not being a happy clapper I have to scream, shout at and pray to someone or something!!!!!

Thank you everyone.  I can't tell you how happy I am today because we have been through 3 months of 'preparing for the worst' and then Super Gordy goes and confounds everyone!!!

But - and it's a big but - in the midst of my joy I am acutely aware of the struggles that all of you are going through on a daily basis, whether you are a patient or a carer and my love and support is always here for each and every one of you.

A special hello and huge hug for AnnFran who I know is going through a very hard time at the moment and she and Nev are constantly in my thoughts.

    Much love,

    Hi Nin,

That is just such good news, wow, amazing! So happy for you and Gordy. I have heard of this many times, written off by the medical teams but the body comes back fighting. BrilIiant.

Your but is very small (I did say but) because it is your brothers fightback that will give hope to so many, and that is a very special message.

    Good luck for the future!

    Hahahaha Tim!

My 'butt' eclipses the moon!  LOL!

My brother is a fighter and is determined to kick cancer's ass (LM an extra boot now and again would be very much appreciated but not too violent as I would want to be responsible for your sausages making an appearance).

My nephew is having his birthday party today and I am panicking now because I don't think I will get the cake decorated in time (I could strangle his Mother who only decided to tell me yesterday)!!!!!!!

    Much love,

    Hi Manders 1958,

    Forget the but!!!!

I can honestly say for me personally, true some peoples journeys are not as fortunate. Does that mean we don't want to hear of the ones who manage to show the middle finger to this thing called 'Cancer' NOT BLOODY LIKELY!!!!

Shout your joy from the rooftops and my Gordy continue to confound them all!!!
