Just When You Think This World Sucks!

1 minute read time.

A quick update as the birds are singing and now I've been up to 'pee' I can't get back to sleep.

Gordy went for a check up on Monday and the 'nice' doctor told him that the chemo had not been working since the middle of December and his body had been fighting the cancers on its own since then.  He said that Gordy is no worse now than he was in December and although the 'nasty' doctor from the previous week could be correct, the 3-4 weeks is the worst case scenario and if Gordy keeps fighting as he has been doing it could well be longer.  Why couldn't 'nasty' doctor phrase it like that last week instead of traumatising everyone?!?!?!?!  I thought these people were trained!  We know that this bastard cancer is going to take my brother but they could find a way of telling him that doesn't traumatise him so much!

Anyway, Big Brother Dougy drove himself and Gordy to Bristol on Wednesday to visit their boss and then from there went to London for the weekend where Middle Brother Paul is flying in from Dubai (after being traumatised last week and hurrying back to the UK).  So look out London - my brothers are going to cause mayhem!!!!!!

Much love,

Nin xxxx

    Whooooops - forgot to add...

Some of mine and Gordy's wonderful friends are organising a benefit evening for him.  (Think I can remember telling one of them that Gordy isn't insured and Mumsy was having nightmares about funeral costs).  Anyway - it seems that the whole of Middlesbrough is getting behind this.  Donations are coming in left right and centre so the organisers tell me and one lovely friend of Gordy's is having her head shaved on the night and has already collected an amazing amount of sponsorship for doing it.  They've organised entertainment and people are donating raffle prizes that are just amazing!!!!!

Talking about feeling the love.  Big hurrahs for the fantastic, thoughtful, loving people of Middlesbrough.  We may be just a small North East town but when the going gets tough you find friends you never knew you had!

    Much love,

    Nin xxxx

    Hi Nin

What fantastic friends you have. I hope the benefit raises loads of money for your brother.

But far more important, I hope Gordy can keep fighting. I shall look out for news of a Big Boys Night Out in London! May they have a great time.

Enjoy the love and enjoy every single day.

    Hugs,

    Little JenX

Here is to Gordy continuing his fight and staying strong and enjoying many more good times. Big hugs to all Cruton xxxxx

    Hi Nin,

What a lovely story of friends rallying round, Middlesborough should be proud of itself. Sending some spoons for Gordy to help him in his fight against this horrid disease.

    Lots of love,

    Hi Nin,

Great news that Gordy's body is fighting, and hope you get to see more of 'nice doctor'.

It is fantastic that people are rallying around, what a wonderful thing to read, brought a tear to my eye. I hope the evening is a brilliant success.
