Didn't We Have A Luvverly Time

Less than one minute read time.

Today was a beautiful day.

Mumsy, Gordy, Alex (his daughter), Zainy (his grandson) and Dougy (our brother) went mooching around the lovely little villages just outside Scarborough.

Mumsy went on a memory trip in Snainton which is where here brothers and sister were evacuated to during the war.  She wasn't evacuated as she was just a baby and families would not take babies.  The we went to Thornton le Vale for lunch and had a little walk around visiting a garage/museum which renovates and auctions classic and vintage cars.  There was the most beautiful powder blue MG which I adored.  It only cost £25,000!!!!!  Mind that was cheap compared to the Bentley our Dougy wanted!

There was a chocolate factory there too and me and Alex spent a small fortune on some gorgeous chocs which we worked out cost around £1 each!!!!!  Worth it though.

I captured a lovely 4 minute video of Gordy playing with Zainy.  A memory that can not be erased!

He gets weaker every day and seems to be weakening so fast.

Think we're going to have a lazy day watching DVDs with Dougy tomorrow!

  • Hi Nin What a lovely day and one of the many good memories that you could all keep and share in. I hope there can be more of these special days. Shame the cars were so pricey still at least you are not down to having to drive a bin. Love and hugs Cruton xxxxxx
