my dear old dad,and his cancer.

Less than one minute read time.
dear all,my last blog in jan I was going to see the oncologist with my dad .he was 78 years old and had been diagnosed in 2004.he refused radiotheraphy and chemo, and relied on medication which suited him fine.unfortunately the cancer had spread to his spine and bones by the end off2008.he became unable to cope with the pain, even with the help of the palliative care team at home and went into st joes in hackney, where my dear old dad passed away on june 6.the care he received while in the hospice was fantastic,I am sure all the staff there are angels.i am feeling guilty because i didn't push my dad to have the radiotherapy, would it have made adifferance?up untill he took to his bed in feb he was out and about everyday and enjoyed his life,he did have one lot of raddiotherapy for his spine pain, and he hated it and was ill for three weeks.i am empty now he has gone, but I am also gratefull that i had my dad with me for 51 years.
