He's your dad, you love him.  Up to a point, what he says goes.  Does he know all the alternatives?  Has he got a Macmillan or other oncology nurse he can talk things over with?

Otherwise, all you can do is to give him all your love and have some fun with him.

    I hope this helps

Sorry to hear about what you and you're dad is going through, it's a horrible feeling, when my dad was diagnosed with this, i was so scared for him and still am now, he was very quiet and diden't want to talk about it, he is so brave, he never moans at the pain much.

I know how you feel that you want to make things better for him, it is so hard, just be strong and lease you're there for him  :) take care
