11) 5 days post Chemo 4 - EC

Less than one minute read time.

Not feeling too bad - really glad to be finished with the EC part of my chemo cycles.

I start Paclitaxel next so hopefully will be ok with that too.  I’m beginning to see a little light at the end of this long chemo tunnel - can’t wait to finish it & put it behind me!

  • Hi Meanegg, sounds like you struggled with EC? I do hope you fare better with Pac. I had 3 x EC and coped really well. I've now had the first of 4 Docetaxel with Phesgo and had a few more side effects but still tolerable. I also have 7 days of Filgrastim injections days 2-8 of each cycle. My blog is https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-blogs/b/carried-on-eagles-wings#pifragment-13917PostSortOrder=Ascending

Take care and I look forward to reading about how you get on with Pac. I forgot to take my pre-Doc steroids until 4.30pm yesterday, hence I'm still wide awake at gone 3am!

  • Hi Amy, thanks for your message - I will update with how the pac is going.  I am dreading this one I have to say as I’m really frightened of neuropathy but I gave everything crossed for an easy ride!

EC wasn’t too bad - I was still able to carry on as pretty much normal through most of it & able do get my goal of a 8,000 - 10,000 steps most days bar the odd few days where I have felt really drained.  For me I think the real battle is psychological which I am finding tough. Sadly I’m a glass half empty kind of person so have to work really hard to pull myself out of the negative thought pool!!

Thanks for the link to your blog.  Good luck with the rest of your treatment - you sound like a really positive person (I wish I was like that!) It will carry you through! Xxx
