21) Post Chemo Review

I had my review this week & thankfully have been feeling a lot better. Next treatment for me is 10 years of Letrozole. I will also have Bisphosphonates which will be given as a drip every 6 months for 3 years. I really hope all this works & I never find myself in this situation again!

I’m hoping the side effects of Letrozole won’t be too bad - I took it between my diagnosis & surgery so all in all for about 6 weeks. I was fine on it for those 6 weeks but not sure how long it takes for side effects to make themselves known..

When I started chemo I couldn’t see an end to it but it does come round eventually. Now I need to get on with my life and try to put these last 6 months behind me which is easier said than done!!

sorry, I have sausage fingers! Any update on side effects on Letrozole? I’ve been on them 2 weeks, I’ve had hair shedding but not sure if this was the paxiitol chemo. X

Hi Marti, I had a really sore foot for about 3 months after starting Letrozole - it was an odd pain just across the top of my right foot & it only really hurt I put weight on it. was advised to come off Letrozole for 2 weeks to see if it helped. The pain disappeared! I was terrified it would come back when I restarted Letrozole but it didn’t thankfully & I have had no other symptoms.

Sorry I accidentally hit the reply button! Anyway I hope you won’t have any side effects. My hair has actually grown back really think so luckily it doesn’t appear to have been affected by Letrozole so fingers crossed it stays that way!! Best of luck xx
