    Hello, you can tell I'm back on form because here I am steaming at the gills about some nutritional misinformation given to me yesterday by a well-meaning friend.  We were chatting on the phone about my stay in hospital, and I mentioned that because hospital food is inedible but you are not allowed to bring in hot, cooked food, I compromise by taking in oatcakes, peanut butter, fruit, dark chocolate, green tea and other…

    Thank you to all you kind people who sent me messages of support while I was in hospital.  Sorry I didn't reply but it was such a pain trying to type on my tiny phone and I really didn't have the energy anyway.  I came out yesterday, still feeling as weak as a kitten, unable to breathe deeply and with a neutrophil level of 1.2 (normal is >2 and neutropenia is <1). However, I am a bit better today, thank goodness…

    Will keep this short as I'm typing on the phone (no Wi-Fi here). I was admitted for observation last night, but temperature still high today and neutrophils continue to diminish. So I am to stay in hospital for some days on IV antibiotics. I'm not sorry as this is probably the best place to be right now.

    I suppose I couldn't really expect to get through this treatment scott-free, and so it has turned out.  The day before my Myto infusion I had a sore throat.  Spoke to the Christie hotline as I didn't want to traipse all the way up there only to be told they couldn't treat me.  But they said I'd have to go anyway as treatment would depend on the results of the blood test. So on Thurs morning we went to Manchester…
