Back from hospital. Finally. My, that was a long five days. Maybe because it was ten. So glad to be reunited with my own THINGS, and be able to read any book I like, and to make a cup of tea and not have to wait for the trolley, and to huggle my cats, and be away from the hospital SMELL. Also happy to be able to breathe again, and to have survived Chemo Round #1. Not so happy about being an official Sick Person, with medicine and everything, but eh. Other people do it all the time, I expect I can too.
Special thanks to Judy, who visited every! damn! day! and to my lovely brother, who came up from Bristol several times, and everyone who sent cards and good wishes in any form.
I have just eaten a Thornton's truffle, courtesy of one of the above well-wishers, called 'Vanilla Velvet'. Because I am still a bit tired and woozy, I read this as 'Vagina Velvet'. Either way: delicious.
