There's no place like home (click, click)

Less than one minute read time.

Back from hospital. Finally. My, that was a long five days. Maybe because it was ten. So glad to be reunited with my own THINGS, and be able to read any book I like, and to make a cup of tea and not have to wait for the trolley, and to huggle my cats, and be away from the hospital SMELL. Also happy to be able to breathe again, and to have survived Chemo Round #1. Not so happy about being an official Sick Person, with medicine and everything, but eh. Other people do it all the time, I expect I can too.

Special thanks to Judy, who visited every! damn! day! and to my lovely brother, who came up from Bristol several times, and everyone who sent cards and good wishes in any form.

I have just eaten a Thornton's truffle, courtesy of one of the above well-wishers, called 'Vanilla Velvet'. Because I am still a bit tired and woozy, I read this as 'Vagina Velvet'. Either way: delicious.

Ha Ha You're home! I agree with all of the above about smell and cats and tea etc (though I took enough books to last a year with me)

I also don't like the 'sick person' thing so don't use it. I do however have to remember I am not 100% fit sometimes as you saw from my blog- ooops!

I was thinking of you and wondering how you were getting on so glad to hear you are home and can breathe (always a good thing being able to breathe)

Also glad I am not the only one who reads things wrong.... :o)

    Big hug to you

I've been away from the site for a while so am still catching up with everyone. I'm glad you are home and feeling 'comfy', it's so nice to be able to do what you want, when you want, isn't it? Even if it is sitting in your PJs with a cat on your lap eating chocolates at 11am - or is that just me? I'm on Thornton's Cappucino chocs at the mo and am a bit coffeed out, as I had a massive Gingerbread latte from Costa today too!

Glad the 1st chemo went ok, I definitely found the first one the worst, just because I didn't know what to expect. However, chemo 4 for me next week and that's my lot, so I'm taking a box of cupcakes into the nurses, and some other unhealthy bits and pieces, as they really have been brilliant in taking the fear away and offering support at the other end of the phone when I've needed it. Hope your course of chemo goes as well.

Take care, lots of love, Ann x

Thank you, everyone! I wasn't able to comment for a few days - I was in bed with the netbook, which is fine for games and stuff but which I find very hard to use for typing, and when I finally managed to sit up at Big Pooter I wanted to do my blog posts first. By the time I'd done those, I had to go and lie down again! Lord, what a weedy wet. But it was lovely to hear from so many people.

    *lots of hugs*

Dear Fotherington Thomas (wet and weedy) get you with your net book in bed ha ha

Actually, i have one, but it has a full size keyboard and despite you lot thinking I am constantly running round like a loony, when i am on here, I am lying in bed/sofa etc... so save up and get one with a proper keyboard then you can lounge around with your Thorntons and cats etc and chat to us.. perfect!

Big hug and enjoy the sunshine
