will be 4 weeks tomorrow since i had my double mastectomy with DIEP free flap reconstruction and can honestly say that i feel far better than i thought i would. my arms are still tender following the op and they are truly the worst part. still have fluid collection along incision on my stomach and so far have had it drained twice. due to go again on friday to have some more removed. yesterday morning was nothing there but after doing bit too much it is back again.
last week was given the good news that all tissue removed during mastectomy showed everything that was expected cell wise and no nasty surprises. refreshing change as last op showed far more than was expected.
so now just need to fully recover and hopefully will be back to normal soon as.
