will be 4 weeks tomorrow since i had my double mastectomy with DIEP free flap reconstruction and can honestly say that i feel far better than i thought i would. my arms are still tender following the op and they are truly the worst part. still have fluid collection along incision on my stomach and so far have had it drained twice. due to go again on friday to have some more removed. yesterday morning was nothing there…

on april 22nd life was relatively simple and unworried.
april 23rd i went for my 1st mammogram at the grand old age of 47. random selection programme being introduced in my area to bring down the age of mammograms from 50 to 47. so i was selected purely by chance.
