    I haven't been on in so long it's sad to see so many new "faces" and more sad to read about losses. It's been over 7 months since my Dad lost his battle and so many firsts have taken place.

    Christmas and new year weren't the same, my Dad loved Christmas he was all about his grandchildren and great grandchild and enjoyed seeing them open their presents, he was a big kid too and loved waiting to see…

    Took my dad for his second round of chemo on Thursday, it has brought with it a few side effects, pins and needles round his face and lips, when he went for a walk on Friday he had pins and needles on his legs too.  However, to be honest I didn't think he would make his walk on Friday.

    I left dad at his house around 4pm,on Thursday he told me to go home and spend some time with my wee girl,  he said he was fine and…

    went to the oncologist today, surprisingly enough  dad decided to go for the chemo, what have i got to lose he said? never a truer word spoken.

    so roll on 21 June as this will be his first chemo.

    My dad has had a hiatus hernia for years and depending how he slept or what he ate was often sick after a meal or when he woke up.  He has never been ill a day in his life and he is only 63.  About 6 weeks ago he started to feel really unwell, he wasn't eating well, he was being sick and "foamy" and could hardly burp.

    I nagged at him for three weeks to go and do something about it, he told me I was worrying…
