Update on dad!

Hi All! Hope everyone is enjoying the 'lovely' summer weather - NOT (It's lashing down here at the mo!) Just thought I'd pop a quick update on here on Dad's condition as I've not posted anything on my blog for a while... Well, the news is GOOD, I'm so pleased to say. A couple of weeks ago dad had his first blood test 6 weeks after going into remission, so as you can imagine he was rather anxious about that, as we all were, I think. So it was relief all round when the doctor told him that his bloods looked great and that his strength and fitness is progressing just as well as they hoped! And they said to come back for the next check up in 3 months!!! We are all sooo pleased with the news and it is great to see dad really living his life again and enjoying his grand-children once more. We are just so thankful that he had the random blood test that identified the leukaemia before he presented symptoms & that he was treated so quickly. Long may his remission continue. It's great to have dad back to his best!
