Home...and happy

1 minute read time.
So, dad is home again!! Much to his - and everyone's - delight! He got through his low days and once his bloods were up to the required levels he was allowed home - yay! He came home on Monday and had to attend clinic for more bloods yesterday, after which he saw his doctor for the results...and they were worth waiting for!! The doc said that his blood levels were up again from even the previous day & that everything was looking positive. Dad said both he and mum came away from there feeling like they were walking on air. He can now stay at home and attend clinics at the hospital for now (obviously being closely monitored for any problems). Then once he has his next bone marrow biopsy taken, I guess the docs will see where we go on form there. To say we are all pleased with the results so far is an understatement.. I've been to see dad today and it was great to see him at home & looking so well (if a little balder!) - considering what he has been through. It is obvious that just being at home and able to get out in the fresh air has really lifted dad's spirits immensely. So, to use the docotrs words we are 'cautiously optimistic' for the future...the best birthday present I could have hoped for!!

Thats wonderful news Clare. I am so pleased for you all, especially your dad.

He must be feeling pretty pleased with himself too...

Hope it all carries on with good results all the way now.

My mum is fine thanks. Enjoying life and getting out and about.

She goes off to Bingo every Monday with her friends, and even drives now.

    She has done excellent.

All the best to our parents.
