Things that helped during the op and afterwards:
1. Pyjama tops and day time tops which button at the front like a shirt - after the op, I couldn't lift my arms without pain, so pulling a top over my head was no good.
2. A recliner for the bed. I bought one from ebay like this one but cheaper: https://www.amazon.co.uk/NRS-Healthcare-L98229-Adjustable-Eligible/dp/B003LPUWEK/ref=asc_df_B003LPUWEK/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309890096346&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1132049394771320729&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046317&hvtargid=pla-563413101522&psc=1&th=1&psc=1
3. A chest guard. This helped, partly with my confidence, when going out in crowds or public places after the op as it provides protection from any accidental knock: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295429239414?var=593552933113&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338749389&toolid=20006&customid=GB_26395_295429239414.144499167324~1870785428618-g_EAIaIQobChMI-JmA2fSLgQMVDdntCh1zIAgpEAQYASABEgJpdfD_BwE
4. For the ladies: because the scar was under my breasts, I couldn't wear a bra for some time as it would have sat on the healing scar, so I bought some firm support cami type tops which just provided enough support. Worth buying before your op - I didn't until afterwards when I realised I needed it.
