Well Day 4 came and went without any side effects at all! I can't believe my luck! Taken all the tablets as prescribed, including the optional anti sickness ones which I was told I could take if I needed them. I've taken them as a matter of course and haven't felt anything. I hope it lasts.
In readiness for the hair loss, I had my fitting for a wig yesterday at the hospital. A lovely lady from a wig specialist came to the hospital with a huge selection of suitable wigs for me to chose from. She suffered hair loss through chemo some years ago so she fully understood what will happen and how we feel.
I've decided to 'laugh in the face of adversity' and change my colour and style! I've had enough bad news and tears this year so decided to have a bit of fun. All my friends and family know my situation and are all very supportive. Just need to get used to seeing myself in the mirror now with the new 'hairdo'.
Another good day where I feel something positive is happening.
