We came, we saw, we conquered, we completed (10) miles for Macmillan!
On Sunday 5th August, James and I arrived in Lymm, Cheshire. (We'd driven up to Manchester the night before, after a brief stop-off in Ilmington.)
We arrived early and met up with Chris (also from Macmillan's digital team). The sun was shining and the atmosphere was already incredible.
At 9am we got signed up. The people were lovely and, and we were given everything we would need; including a map, sun cream and a rain poncho. Amazing preparation!
We then had a group warm-up exercise courtesy of the Lymm Rugby Club, and we were off!
The walk was really beautiful, and we met some great characters along the way. Admittedly it took us 4 hours to complete (others were done within 2.5), but that's only because we were enjoying the scenery!
