Best laid plans - ramblings ;o)

4 minute read time.
See once you start blogging, you can't stop its addictive!! Got some brilliant advice on here re cording, you'll know it if you've got it... and some creative advice too ;o)))))). As some my know I rehomed a little Westie called Poppy, following the sudden death of my previous dog Whiskey; Whisk and I used to do agility. So I thought Pop might enjoy it too and she does - well she likes the food reward she gets. I haven't been for a few weeks as I was post op, so I decided we would rejoin the group today. I was organised and took an extra towel and an umbrella - just in case. Poppy and I were the last in the group and we decide to try her off the lead, big mistake - she thinks its more fun to sniff the ground, but she does the jumps, goes through the tyre for the first time - the wrong way - then the dog walk, she's so eager to get across I have to hang onto her in case she falls off and then the heavens opened, not just a shower a downpour as I'm trying to get my daft dog to weave between the bars. It was a bit like standing in the shower fully clothed! At which point H&S stepped in and decided it was getting too slippy - for the dogs not the humans. I don't know which of us was wetter - probably me, yuuurk. Mind you means I don't have to bath her, she is now sparkling clean. And of course its now dry and sunny!! I'm doing me exercises - stretch two three, relax two three - and sleeping with me arm in strange positions. They tell you that you may have post op nerve damage and numbness but no one mentions cording. I do my last lot of exercises for the day as I go to bed, I do them slowly in the hope of maximising the benefit, and do both arms at the same time even thought I only need to do one. I do them both because it helps maintain my balance, but it also illustrates the ease with which I can raise my right arm, I can swinging it up and down, stretch it above my head no problem - I want my left arm to do that too - it used to and have to hope that if I stretch and exercise for long enough it will..... Gonna do some DIY tomorrow - don't laugh I am - I've made a list of all the little jobs and I'm gonna make a start, think I'll do the tiles in the bathroom. The guy I bought this house from had rented it for a year and had done as little as possible - hoping for a profit me thinks and for a mug (me) to come and buy it. Anyway I have really great cold water pressure and I have a new heating system fitted last year, whcih should mean I can have a good shower. Now it is good, but the force of the water is so strong it sprays everywhere and bounces, it bounces of me, of the bath, of the wall and makes the shower curtain flap everywhere. Yesterday I noticed that the spray had reached the cupboard where the boiler is, the floor and the window! oh and half way up the wall. So I'm going to tile a bit further up the wall, it was going to be three extra rows, but the water keeps aiming higher - so now its 5 rows!! I know abosolutely nothing about plumbing, you turn on the tap - hey presto water comes out. I mean if the shower lead/pipe is wider does that reduce the pressure or give the water more room??? But I decide to play around with the little rubber washers - well that didn't work. I live in a hard water area and although I couldn't see any limescale I gave the showerhead a good scrub, I was going to put some limescale stuff on it but I only had the loo stuff and frankly I wasn't convinced I could rinse it all away - I know Harpic kills gerns but I've been Domestos'd from the inside already. So just for good measure I used a special sharp instrument to poke through each of the holes - yeh hey that worked, it doens't spray everywhere. The special tool - oh a pair of nail scissors. So now I reckon I can get away with the original 3 rows - handy as the value white tiles come in boxes of 40 somthing lol. Then I just have to peel off the sealant and reapply it :o(( Well enough about my scintillating life Take care all and enjoy the sun while it shines - oh what the hell dance in the rain, drying off and getting warm is half the fun. lol Carol xx
