can anyone help

Less than one minute read time.

I've recently just found out that my mam has Type B Lung Cancer and its inoperable. To be honest I'm devastated and worried about the outcome but my mam assures me that she is being well looked after by her macmillan nurse and is receiving  treatment from the Royal Marsden Hospital  in Surrey,

Problem is I live up North and shes down South and I feel totally useless at the moment with me being so far away. Any help, advice or support from anyone else affected by lung cancer be it patient or family member would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry you've had to join the site Shane, but there are lots of us who have been, or are still, where you are now. Any friend or family member of a person living with cancer will know how hard it is, and how helpless you feel. But don't be afraid to ask questions (there are helplines on this site) and visit your Mum when you can. I have found some wonderful people on this site who helped me when my step dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and when I was looking for advice and support. Sending best wishes to you and your Mum, Val
