Well im home again with not much news
i am waiting for 1 more test result to come back now and then i find out whats going to happen
I do now know that i will have 3 surgeries sounds very daunting but im ready for whatever they have in store for me
the first one is to cut out 2 lesions on the left
the second is to put in a stent and block off the main blood supply to the right
the third is to remove the right side of the liver
the test im waiting for is to see if my cancer is compatible with the trial drug that should be in by monday onco is chasing them up now if it is i will start chemo very soon and if not i will have 2 surgeries before christmas
I know it seems like we havent moved but they recon we have
So yet again i am waiting this is getting me down im really finding it hard to cope now so i have asked my onco about see a psychiatrist so she is setting that up now so hopefully they can sort out my mind

Ohh Rose you deserve a medal for having to wait this long. I am so pleased that things are really taking shape now. Best get your xmas pressies bought incase you are haing surgery in the run up to christmas! I think in some ways you are lucky (really) because the team are being very professional and wanting everything in order before operating - you wouldnt want them to just barge in and then make a mistake. I wish they could operate on my Liver but for some reason with Breast Cancer secondaries this doesnt seem to be an option so I am a weeny bit jealous that they can do this surgery for you. Keep your chin up Rose - the psych referral is a very very good idea - especially if they are linked to cancer patients - then they understand how horrible and stressful the waiting game is. Try and rest and sleep Bus (tee hee - one of the funniest things youve said!!) , Love Jools x x P.S. I am so glad to have asked to see a counsellor, it will give you the opportunity to explore how you really feel about all these delays and the treatment planned for you.
I'm so glad that they are being so thorough before attempting to treat you but I can appreciate how frustrating the waiting is. Well done for acknowledging that you want help with all the stress and getting something sorted. You are a very brave lady!
Rose I am so sorry about your impending ops etc. You are always such an uplifting person with an ear to lend to everyone else. So I am offering both of mine for you. The time for all your appts. etc will soon come round & I am sure every one will be rooting for you.
