Well, Hickman line safely installed. Not quite the walk in the park I was promised...however! as I have previously posted, I was very apprehensive prior to it. I really don't like being messed with in this way. The girls on the interventional radiography unit were so kind and reassuring, I can't thank them enough for their sensitivity.
God is so good, and answers prayer, I never know why I should doubt! I was so peaceful and calm it was amazing. My heart rate, breathing and blood pressure were all slow and low. And it was over swiftly. The girls were tireless in their supply of vast quantities of tea afterwards, and greatly reassuring in their answers to my inane worries! I'm an inveterate hypochondriac where my own health is concerned, I'm the worried well!
But, this morning my neighbour came round with shocking news. His wife had been taken into hospital with a sudden diagnosis of NHL and severely ill. What is happening? So many folk affected by this plague, the incidence must be rising.
I'm becoming a conspiracy theorist I think, what are "they"not telling us? It is almost epidemic around me. At my mapping scan, there was a whole family there with 3 out of 4 of them with the diagnosis, and a massive family history.
I'm somewhat sad at the moment, not for myself, mine is small potatoes, but for all you going through ittoo. I read so much distress and sadness on here, and this must only be the tip of an iceberg.
