These past two months had been difficult for my mother. The three visits to the emergency has left my mother weak and feeling defeated. Within two months she has had Pericardiocentesis (fluid drained form the heart's sack) a biopsy and battled C.diff. So, weakness at this point is understandable. Her initial Oncology visits had been prolonged due to the hospital stays. So hearing her oncologist say that he can't treat her right now is disappointing. I had her doing Physical therapy to be sure she remained somewhat strong. But, the C.diff really did her in. I just do know what else more I can do. She stays in bed all day, sitting up makes her dizzy and lightheaded. Her arms and legs are very weak. She even struggles to pick up a glass or ceramic mug. The heavier forks bother her at times also. I pray that my mom will get her strength back and be able to start treatment in the next few weeks. It's hard to not wonder, what if she continues to decline?
