My journey to the london marathon

Less than one minute read time.

Firstly, thanks so much to everyone for your sponsorship and kind messages - it really does mean a lot.

Secondly, what a beautiful sunny day - crocus and snow drops everywhere and lots of daffs open at Hampton Court already.

Thirdly, I thankfully managed to get some mud on my hideously bright neon pink trainers, but blow me if dew didn't clean it off! Nature giveth but taketh away!

Ok lastly I suppose I should comment on my run! Blisters not too bad, hammy hurting just a bit, but the real killer was a stitch! Haven't had one of those for years and had to stop and walk for a bit. Did the planned 7miles (excluding the walking), but bit fed up with the plod, plod, plod. Maybe I'm expecting miracles (in fact yes I am!). Moan, moan, moan!! Add in a few swear words at appropriate points.

Despite the moaning, I am still on track for the marathon. The marathon itself will be 11months after my diagnosis and 1 week before I'm 41. How one year can change things!
