    hi there

i was diagnosed with duodenal cancerin march....very large and spreading to my colon and liver. it is inoperable and i have to learn to live with it.

i had 2 courses of EOX till they realised i was allergic to it and  changed me to ECX. i had 5 courses of that and a scan. the scan showed the chemo had shrunk the tumour by almost 2/3.

in march i was told i would be dead by end of year without treatment  now i have a shot at a 'normal' life.

the chemo affects everyone differently. listen to what ppl tll you and read what you can. it all sounds frightening but if youre prepared it will help. just remember not everyone gets all the side effects. dont suffer in silence...any worries/problems ASK FOR HELP.

best of all try to keep positive, i know its hard but i think its the most important thing you can do.

maclanders will give you lots of advice and support too.

hope things go well for you both

    hugs and kisses   sue   xxx
