    Clive is off to start radiotherapy for 2 weeks starting Wednesday. He is really starting to need it as his eating has gone down hill and he says drinking is beginning to feel more difficult, so we have to keep our fingers crossed this makes an impact.     Clive ended up in hospital last week from Mon evening to Saturday, his white count was really low and he developed a temperature, so they had to treat him with iv antibiotics. We couldn't believe it as there was no tv's or anything, totally boring! He is seriously glad to be home it was so depressing in there the bloke in the bed next to him died while I was visiting one night, and there is a lot of old people in there…

    Wierdly, Clive's eating has now improved again. Last week he was pureeing soup, and this week he is eating pork pie and flapjack. How strange is that? This Taxotere chemo seems to do that and makes it much worse then it gets better again. On this round it has taken a bit longer to get better.     went to see oncologist yesterday Clives swallowing is bad again. Soup only and yoghurt drinks, also a few aches and pains on breastbone/ shoulder blade. He had a barium swallow to see how things were flowing when swallowing, there is a narrowing but oncologist wants to still go ahead with Third taxotere round then scan and get straight on to radiotherapy for 2 weeks, which he says should help the swallowing.     My husband has now done 2 rounds of Docetaxol, which seemed to have improved his swallowing again. But he is so tired all the time and the "chemo head" effect seems to be kicking in. I think its the cumulitive effect have already done 6 rounds of the other one. He finds it really hard to concentrate and I feel him driffting off when I talk to him.
