Hey People,
It has been a little while since I have written anything what with being "onked" and stuff. You people are probably used to my irreverence in these things.
The good news: I really move into my house on Saturday and finally out of hospital like institutions. I can't wait!!!! I do have to go back into the city hospital for a day or two while I have my piece of skull replaced in April or May and that just might be the end of this cancer journey.
The radiation is going well in that I haven't had any side effects other than losing a bit of my hair in the patches where the radiation goes in.
I did the wig consultation yesterday and tried out heaps of new looks until I made up my mind, though an actual wig is impractical while I am still wearing this stupid helmet. So... I have a wig put aside for my daughter's wedding and brought home a couple of nice turban things: one just like the one on my profile and a bright purple one... anyhow both of them fit under the helmet and both look better than my tatty moth-eaten grey and white hair.
At the weekend I had a minor panic cos I thought my brain was going soft because I forgot a phone number. I have never written down a phone number in my life... I just remember them from all though my life. But it was reassuring to find that other "normal" people have brains like sieves when it comes to numbers.
