Second Radiation Appointment...

1 minute read time.
Today I had to do the bus thing but hopefully from tomorrow onwards I will have a free taxi YAY!!! So far so good... nothing bad happened... getting used to wearing clothes again is more of a problem... bra straps feel like cheese wire after a few hours etc. Hospital gowns were almost a luxury (NOT!). I fully expect to lose my hair in the patches that they are irradiating so I will have 3 bald patches. Also when they replace my skull they will shave the front of my head again then it is back to square one... If they used metal for the fake bone it would be titanium not steel but in fact for me it is a new plastic called calcium apetite which is pretty close to natural bone. I don't want to be setting off metal detectors at every airport while people are so paranoid about terrorists etc. My sister is apparently coming here in July but I am shocked that she has no idea at all about world geography. She is going to a scientific conference in Japan and "thinks" she could pop over to Auckland in a couple of hours... I pointed out that the flight was 12 -14 hours so it is not a pop in job. This is going to happen in July by which time I should have recovered from the radiation and the final surgery to replace my head flap and hopefully nothing else bad will have happened in between. We will have a house of our own by then anyway.
