I need a moan

Less than one minute read time.

I'm feeling really cheesed off. My chemo is a 3 week cycle, 2 weeks of chemo and then 1 week of rest. On my week of rest I like to arrange a little treat and yesterday was one of those days. We had tickets to see Dame Edna Everage in Liverpool. Well my bowel had other ideas. Just a couple of hours before we needed to set off, I started with agonising stomach pains, my bowel had decided to go on strike., and I was REALLY uncomfortable. There was no way that I could even contemplate the journey to Liverpool and then sit through a 2 1/2 hour show................£50 down the drain. Poor old me had to stay at home, all alone. When my husband and sister returned just after midnight, they had brought home a gladioli that Barry Humphries had thrown into the audience. I now have the most expensive gladioli in the world. Will I ever be able to arrange anything in advance again????

Thanks for listening. I feel a  bit better now.................I think.

Aww bless your, what a little bugger your bowel was.  As the others say, keep planning things anyway its important to have things to look forward to.

I went to Bruges during my chemo, and didn't take enough loperamide with me - that was an interesting day - especailly when we got lost and I needed the loo - but I wouldn't have missed the Christmas Markets for the world.

    Take care
