So after months and months of research, bidding and testing I have finally Chosen the frame set and Wheels for my bike a long with some of the components.
I decided that I am going to make a custom built especially for Ironman, there are plenty of great Triathlon bikes out to but ready made, but as I am a 'unusual' size ( short 174 cm ) but quite stocky it is very hard to find something that fits my personal bio-mechanics.
If you are doing your first triathlon I would recommend buying a second hand road bike as it is a lot of money to invest in something that you may only end up doing once and you will need to get a feel for what you like and what works best for you bio-mechanical make up, but as I know that I enjoy triathlons I have chosen to invest.
