Seanty

Less than one minute read time.
Looks like Seán will not be back on here, despite the clearly expressed majority view. Can't see any point in sticking around myself.

Thanks for sharing that with us, I guess we all know where you stand on this.  I just think its a shame that we can't all exist and share our views on what is supposed to be a supportive, factual and open forum.  People may not like Seanty's way of putting things, but I'd rather have the blunt truth than dangerous advice from the uninformed and unqualified.  We are all vulnerable at times and we need factual info and empathy. There are "duious" posts on here ton a regualr basis and we are now all policing it and flagging things. I agree with the others, its a shame that a compromise couldn't be reached - but hey ho to each his own.  Seanty now has free rein to say what he likes on his own blog and you read it or not.

    Best wishes to all

... and I do wish that he and the moderators could reach some form of compromise.

On one hand, Sean offered (and offers on his blog) important facts that enable us to make informed decisions. But on the other hand he also has a style that can (understandably) offend.

So how about it moderators - let's not "throw the baby out with the bathwater". There's been a "cooling off" period, so why not ask Sean whether he's prepared to modify his style?

If he is (and he does), then this forum would benefit from his knowledge and expertise.

If he isn't (or he doesn't), then I could understand why (on balance) you would not want him as a contributor.

    Thanks

    Gary
