I called the receptionist. As usual asking barrier questions to my queries. I then asked for the practice manager to call me back and explain why the surgery was not following NICE guidelines with regards to cancer pathways. That cut through the chatter. An hour later my GP (didn’t know I had a named GP) called me back.
I have looked at your results and have sent a referral letter. You are on the two week wait cancer pathway expect a call from the hospital in the next few days. The EGFR test needs to be repeated in 90 days and the clinical pharmacist will call you in a few days to discuss QRISK and possible medication to reduce cholesterol.
How long did you know before telling anyone? I waited a few days until after I had an appointment for the MRI scan. I did chat to Grok several times.
The diagnosis process…
