In the last week or so, it’s like a switch has been flicked. I have got my energy back. I have got my zest for life back. I suddenly want to try out new recipes or go out. I have restarted running. I am booking rugby tickets and weekends away. I feel pretty much how I felt before I started chemo, other than I need to regain fitness.
The biopsy of the liver matched that from the original breast tumour. So the TNBC had spread, but we know exactly what we are dealing with. The liver function has recovered from the procedure. Oncology are happy to leave me until March before scanning me again, when I will have a CT CAP scan and a liver MRI. Oncology are happy for me to go on holiday.
So I intend to enjoy the life I have whilst I am fully fit, and try to keep any thoughts of further recurrence firmly parked. I probably won’t post again until after the scans.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
