Hello all.just saying hello and thanks for letting me join.i had hysterectomy late last year.feeling very low, anxious and overwhelmed suddenly.i guess this is understandable.? Thanks.

  • Hi Davina

    Welcome to the group.

I am sorry to hear that you had a diagnosis of endometrial cancer.

I hope that you are recovering ok from the surgery? It is very normal to feel a bit low and anxious after getting a diagnosis and having treatment. I know I did for a while. I also found that I felt overwhelmed at times and once I had my diagnosis things moved pretty quickly.

Have you had your post op results through yet? I know that they can sometimes take a while and I felt a bit in limbo and really anxious waiting to see if I needed any further treatment.

If there is anything you want to ask about, please do so. There are many lovely ladies on here who have had the same surgery and diagnosis as you and who will understand how you are feeling and will want to offer you support.

We also have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm every day if you want to talk things through.

    Hi Davina

Great news that your results are all clear. Remember that if anything changes or you are concerned or not sure about something- you can still contact your hospital/CNS straightaway. You do not need to wait for them to call you.

Well done for reaching out on here- it can be tricky at first to navigate everything so do ask if you need some help.

If you click on the above link it will take you to some information about the HOPE course. It is free and online and I found it helpful once my treatment was all done. There is no pressure to engage or rush through anything but there are lots of useful short links/videos that you might find helpful. Its a sort of dip in and out course.
