Hi all
Just recently diagnosed with Grade 1 endometrial cancer, MRI tomorrow for staging
I am very nervous as I have been experiencing intermittent pressure low down over the bladder area recently and not sure if this is usual for early stages. My only other symptom was a minor bleed back in January following what was diagnosed as a UTI this was accompanied by the usual cramping and pressure that comes with a UTI
Am I overthinking things, I have multiple fibroids too
Anyone else have similar in early stages, i appreciate we all have our own symptoms but trying to stay of Dr Google
Thanks
We all have different symptoms and you won't know until the tests results are back. Speaking for my own experience however, I didn't have any pain or pressure, just the post menopausal bleeding. Pain is often associated with things like fibroids etc...but they will know when the MRI results are in. No point guessing at this stage but try not to worry about what you don't know yet. Dr Google is a mixed blessing and doesn't always help. You will for sure soon and fingers crossed all will be well. This cancer is very treatable.
Hi I was diagnosed with Low grade endometrial cancer on 3rd April this year.
I'm having a radical key hole hysterectomy next Thursday.
I have PCOS which gives similar symptoms to my cancer.
I have the same symptoms as you but I also have watery discharge, like I have wet myself. I have to use tens pads and a thicker one at night.
Apparently this is also a symptom.
Yes Dr Google is not your friend.
It's natural to be nervous. It's the fear of the unknown.
Once you get your results, you will have so much support from all the agencies involved.
You'll be introduced to your Oncologist when you get your results.
You'll be able to get in touch with your Oncologist at any time.
Also these forums are great
Hope it goes well for you tomorrow.
I was predicted grade 1 stage 1, with absolutely no symptoms whatsoever apart from the tissue being very slightly tinged with very very pale pink. After my hysterectomy histology, the stage changed from a 1 to a 2. Many of us have no symptoms at all or hardly any so I wouldn’t read too much into symptoms if I were you. Definitely don’t Google.
Hi Nettie6970
We are all different aren't we
I have awful anxiety which can trigger the flight or fight response in my bowels and of course this is possibly the cause of my bladder issue
But this new diagnosis has my head spinning in all directions
Good luck with your op next Thursday
Hi MarmiteFan59
My symptoms of pain seem have escalated since all the tests and appointments/diagnosis
However I had 5 weeks pain free after my hysteroscopy under GA as the surgeon told me my womb looked normal apart from multiple fibroids
Anxiety gone until I got the call back appointment to gynae oncology
It does sound like it could then be related to anxiety! Hopefully you will be able to pick up some coping mechanisms for the inevitable anxiety which may then alleviate things.
Sympathies Kazaroo 60.
My symptom was slight PMB. I felt fine.Asked for my hysteroscopy to be done by GA. Was told"No" so went private. ( anxiety growing) Tummy pains low down. Biopsy on 2 large polyps: grade 3 Endometrial Cancer. Appetite disappears. Gut goes into overdrive.
Anxiety about anxiety really doesn't help does it?
I can offer my sympathy and support but I haven't yet found a way to calm my tummy but please know you ate not the only one.
Good wishes for your surgery next week. You will be home before you know it! Sending hugs.
