Hey everyone

wanted to say hello and also let you know my story-

After being pretty symptomless Biopsies were taken. Dx - pre cancerous cells, Had a total hysterectomy with fallopian tubes taken but ovaries left. Dx of the organs showed stage 1 endometrial adenocarcinoma. Told curative no further treatment.

Nearly 2 years on had a bleed which completely threw me. MRI has shown part of cervix has been left which appears to have endometriosis and also a small endometrionic cyst on the ovary.

Im now concerned that this could be the same thing?!! Anyone been here or has any advice please help feels really lonely Cry

  • Hi Pookieboo

I am sorry to hear of your previous cancer.

You have done the right thing in getting checked when having the bleed. I can understand why you are worried and I think that once you have had a cancer the thought of any recurrence is scary.

So you have had the MRI, which would be expected and it shows what appears to be endometriosis and a small ovarian cyst.

What has the consultant suggested would be best to do next? Have you spoken about your concerns that this could be connected to the original cancer? Have you had a CA125 blood test. These are the questions I would be thinking about asking. Maybe consider giving the Support Line a call and talking it through with one of the nurses. I have found them really helpful and they may well know the next steps that may happen.

The links have some general information that you may find helpful.

    Ovarian cyst - NHS

    Endometriosis - NHS

  • Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply! I haven’t had any of the things suggested happen-  it’s all gone very quiet x I will give them a call it’s a lonely road isn’t it! Xx

  • It maybe worth contacting your GP and asking what next, if you don't get any answers. Mine intervened for me and contacted them directly. I was given an appointment at the hospital to see the consultant the following day.

  • I have something prebooked in a few weeks so hopefully the GP can help! It’s always tricky to juggle it all while staying well! Stress is kicking my bum! Thankyou again for your support x
