Just wanted to bob in and say hi
diagnosed with atypical hyperplasia of endometrium last week and waiting a total hysterectomy in the next couple of weeks. Feel a bit of a fraud as this is pre cancerous, but aware treated as if cancer until everything tested. To say I am terrified is an understatement as I hate all medical procedures, and work in healthcare so a little knowledge is not always helpful. Praying it will be a keyhole procedure and I will be up and about in a short period, but have severe endometriosis so have been warned it may be open and the wider MDT will need to be on hand it things are stuck. Anyway trying not to dwell on things and keep busy with work waiting my surgery date
It’s such a worrying and stressful time! Just focus on getting through the operation and let’s hope it can be done via keyhole. Will this also help your endometriosis?
Hi Crazy Cat lady
No need to feel a fraud, you are welcome to be here.
Having any sort of surgery can be scary. I also do not like medical procedures. Trying to keep busy is a good plan but sometimes it can help to talk to someone about how you are feeling. Please do give the Support Line a call, if you feel it would help.
Fingers crossed that they can do key hole for you.
Jane
