Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 52 year old woman from the North West of England. I had being going through the menopause for nearly 5 years and coping without any hrt, just after Xmas I started bleeding again and had very bad hormonal changes. I went to the Dr's to see if I could get some HRT. As I had been bleeding she sent me to a fast track cancer clinic as a precaution. After having an external and internal ultrasound it was thought that I had a fybroid. I was book in for a hysteroscopy. The consultant tried to get the fybroid out under local anesthetic bit couldn't as to much blood. She managed to take a biopsy. The biopsy came back as a high grade leiomyosarcoma. After now having an MRI and CT Scan I am happy to say it has not spread from my uterus. Today I find out if I will be discussed at this week's MDT meeting which takes place tomorrow.  This has all been very scary and would love to hear from anyone else who has been through the same xx
