Hi, just found out I will be having my hysterectomy in the Royal Hallamshire. Can anyone tell me if they allow you to use and charge your mobile phone while on the ward. Have looked on their website and it says no mobiles allowed on wards. If this is the case then how do you personally contact family members and how can they contact you?
Thanks Sue.
Hi SueB4, I had a hysterectomy in October 2022 at the Royal Hallamshire for stage 1a grade 3 serous endometrial cancer. As others have advised you shouldn't have any problems using or charging your phone.
My surgeon was Miss Macdonald, a lovely lady and a first class doctor. I felt very reassured with her care at the Hallamshire and also with my ongoing follow-up appointments. Wishing you well with your operation, you will be in very safe hands if Miss Macdonald performs your operation. x
