Hi ladies, I haven't posted much lately but I have been reading and keeping up with you all. I'm posting now because I'm anxious about a possible recurrence. In the last couple of days I've had two episodes of a very tiny spot of what looks like it could be blood on the paper. Of course it could just be a slightly sore spot or whatever but naturally my first and all consuming thought is that it's a recurrence after 2 and a half years. I've phoned my CNS and left a message, but I'm now waiting for her to get back to me. I just felt I needed to share my worries with ladies who would understand.
Hi TeddysMum,
I know how you must be feeling. I had two miscarriages and a threat with my first daughter, so I have always dreaded finding blood 'down there'. That's what sent me running to the doctor when I was diagnosed.
It could be a mild UTI, so don't panic yet.
Giving you a big hug. ( ) xxxx
This is also my fear TeddysMum I am almost 3 years since treatment ended and look every time I go to the loo. Hopefully you will get some reassurance soon from your CNS and she can get you seen if she thinks its necessary. When I first went to the GP with very slight spotting (before I was diagnosed) she said it was probably vaginal atrophy, where things get dry and can bleed. It wasn't of course, but that is a possibility maybe in your case.
Hugs, Lesley xx
Thank you, I think it's at the back of all our minds somewhere even if we manage to mostly bury it. My CNS called me back today and offered to see me tomorrow which was a big relief. Either way, she can reassure me all is ok, or get on with treatment as early as possible.
Hello TeddysMum good luck for tomorrow. I have just been reading about your worry of reaccurrance its always a worry when we see spots of blood but of course there is lots of reasons that could cause it, its always a worry of reaccurrance I really hope that its not and your CNS can offer some words and advice of reassurance.
I get occasionally blood spots been told its likely because of the recurrent uti but my gynae team aren't happy that my appointment keeps being cancelled due to covid-19 as it helps rule things out. That's the important thing really we need to know what's happening and what needs to be done to solve it. So I will have me fingers crossed and sending lots of positive energy your way and I hope you get good news tomorrow.
Big hugs teddysmum.
