For the last few months I have had a variety of different symptoms and it is causing me concern.
Periods every 2 weeks and very heavy, blood clots throughout, pelvis and hip pain, lower stomach pain that is quite sharp at times. Excruciating pain in shin which in turn makes my look feel funny and foot go numb. Bloating, over tired, appetite poor. I tried to get an appointment to see doctor but can’t get in until late next week. Thanks

  • Hi Ems,

I'm not a medic, so can't tell you what's happening, but I can share my experience of diagnosis with you. I saw my gp who referred me on for an ultrasound scan which checked my womb and ovaries. The scan found cysts on my ovaries (non cancerous) and a dodgy womb. I then went to see a gynaecologist who took a womb biopsy and the results of that recommended that I have a hysteroscopy and further biopsy. 90% of womb biopsies are all clear, so try and take things one step at a time, if you get to that point, lots of people pass through the site in similar circumstances and get the all clear.

You are doing the right thing getting checked out, just a warning that it took from February until June for me to get my diagnosis, I was treated with a hysterectomy in the August and that was me, things seem to move slowly, but there are guidelines and set timescales they should meet.

We all agree that waiting is the pits, try and keep as busy and distracted as you can whilst you wait and use the site as a safe place to wait and vent.

lots of love and please feel free to ask any questions

    xxx

  • Hi Ems,

ask your doctor to check you for anaemia, I was anaemic with the blood loss, it makes you knackered,
