Recent VIN diagnosis

Hi, I had a WLE for VIN3 and vulva cancer in May. Cancer removed but mine also said VIN3 close to margin. This basically means there is a small amount of VIN at the edge of the operation site and will need keeping an eye / check on it to see if it spreads. Check the area weekly with a mirror and if any colouring, itchiness, lumps etc make an appointment to see your Gyn surgeon to get it checked. It might not come back or spread.

Don't wait for your next check up if you notice or feel anything unusual. Best to get it checked ASAP. Don't worry, just do regular checks.

It is a shock! It's not easy to deal with especially somewhere so intimate. I'm getting better but it takes ages. Still can't sit without pain as nerve endings slow to heal. I had 2 ops, 1 in March 2nd in May. I take a cushion everywhere I go. Still use a peri bottle and sitz bath. Just have to be patient but its changed me. Hopefully it won't return. 

Keep an eye on the area and be gentle on yourself.  Try to stay positive, even though some days it's hard. 

There's always someone far worse off, some of the ladies on here have had it tough but still here!
