I am newly diagnosed and due for surgery on the 8th July. They will have to remove both sides groin lymph nodes. Scared stiff of lymphadema as I am a very fit 77 year old. Appreciate any advice please
Hello Minimises, so sorry to hear that. I had my op in 2023 when I was 73 and also had bilateral lymph nodes removed. I didn’t develop lymphoedema but did have slight swelling on one side, fluid was removed and it was clear. I haven’t had any further problems due to them being removed.
I hope all goes well with your op. If you have any questions then please just ask.
