Hello,
I know this form of cancer is extremely rare, but I'm hoping to find people who may have been through a similar experience.
In June this year we sadly lost my mum to it. The last couple of years of her life she endured great trauma throughout treatment with bravery and dignity.
I am wondering now whether there are any bereavement support groups for others who have lost someone to vulval Cancer. I am looking on behalf of my dad who was by her side throughout, and could now do with someone to talk to who has been through the same.
He is based in Huddersfield.
Any information is much appreciated.
Thanks
Alice
Hi
So sorry to hear about your mum, it’s very sad. There are options for support through the macmillan counselling service, but is limited in terms of number of sessions. There is also the national charity Cruse bereavement service.
wishing you and your dad all the best
Jo
Hi Biggysmalls
The free counselling available through Macmillan and BUPA is a service which unfortunately no longer exists, but was only for cancer patients, not relatives.
However, Macmillan may be able to point the way to other services available in terms of bereavement support locally by phoning the support line.

I am so sorry to hear about your dear Mum. Sending love and hugs to you and your Dad. I haven’t had experience of bereavement counselling myself but the other suggestions here would be helpful I am sure.
