Hello , I’m just about to have surgery for the second time in 5 years .
this will be more invasive and my surgeon has just said see you in theatre and that was it .
im feeling very anxious and scared this time around as the surgeon was just quiet and said of dear I need to get you straight into surgery and it will need removal of the labia as well this time
and that was it - didn’t say it was Vin 3 again just said see you in surgery
I noticed your post hadn’t received a reply yet so I wanted to post a quick acknowledgement that it has been read. I can understand why you are feeling scared and anxious with the lack of information you have been given so far.
I had a different surgery which removed my vagina but not labia so I’m sorry that I don’t have directly relevant experience to share with you.
However, I’d like to recommend that you get in touch with your consultant/surgeon so that you can get a more precise explanation of what your surgery will involve. It should have been fully discussed with you so that the reasons for the surgery were fully explained, and I think you need to know that before proceeding.
If you give her secretary a call, you could set up a phone call with consultant for a discussion so you know exactly what is up ahead for you.
Has your surgery already been scheduled? I hope it will go well and be successful for you.

I had surgery to remove VIN3 and vulva cancer, so whilst it's different for each person, I do have an understanding and am happy to talk if that would help.
I agree with the comment above- I would contact your consultant or specialist nurse if you have one. Ask any questions you may have and hopefully you'll have a clearer picture.
Good luck and I'm here if there's anything I can do to help ease some of your anxiety.
Thankyou Sarah, I’ve rang the office several times but I’m not getting any joy .
I’ve just found out that I have to be dropped off on my own for surgery which is going to be hard .
tryjng to stay positive - thankyou for your contact
Thankyou so much , it’s second time round and just praying everything gets resolved but if not then I will try and stay strong. Until I’m told otherwise and then I will deal with it as and when with my big girl pants on ️
Last day at work tomorrow - it’s just not something I can talk about at work because of the location. Luckily this time around I have a female boss .
I guess I will get to ask my questions on the day x
Good morning,my last day at work was emotional .
my operation is tomorrow at 11am x
I hope everything goes well with your op and you are soon on the road to recovery.
