Hi everyone. My daughter was diagnosed with vulva cancer 2 months ago. She's 43 years old. The tumour was successfully removed and the wound has healed beautifully. Her lymph nodes were clear so very relieved. Her Oncologist wants to make sure that although she had a radical excision, there are no "hot" cells left, so she starts treatment on 13 December 2021 - radiotherapy 5 minutes per day, 5 days per week over 5 weeks. She will also have chemo one day a week for the same 5 weeks. I have started putting together a pamper pack to help with side effects but wondered if anyone had any other tips to help. Any tips or advice would be so welcome. Thanks so much
Hi, I noticed your post hasn't had any answerS yet, but the site is busy so it's dropped down, my reply will bump it back up.
Some ideas for chemo: I was given some scented candles and hand cream. A friend knitted me some cashmere hats, and another friend sent some new books to read. I was also given some lovely warm socks, as keeping warm for treatment can help.
best of luck for your daughter.
