Just wanting some hope should my TNBC have spread to my lungs.
Anyone out there with positive story or hope please
Hi SuperSonic8
I hope your TNBC hasn’t spread. I think however I can give you some hope - my tnbc spread to my liver in 2022 and I am still here to tell the tale. I was first diagnosed in early 22 with what was at the time thought to be early stage tnbc. It wasn’t in my lymph nodes but the tumour was growing into a blood vessel. After surgery I had adjuvant chemo. I was just over half way through that when I got a bad abdominal infection, spent a few days in hospital and had a CT scan. Nothing cancer related expected, just to look at my diverticulitis. Then it was “0h and by the way there is what looks like a cancerous deposit in your liver”. My tnbc is PD-L1 positive. Pembrolizumab worked like magic on it. I have been in remission since early 24.

Thank you for your reply, I've been pretty much prepared for the worst case as I have a 26mm nodule, a 8mm nodule and my hilar node is 2cm and with my TNBC diagnosis 2 years ago the likelihood is that it is lung mets s

Ive had a bronchoscopy on 7th and Pet ct scan on 10th but the waiting is agonising and just preparing myself really, so I can prepare myself for the ongoing treatment with some degree of hope.
No doubt we will chat again, when I hear more news.
Thanks again and best wishes are being sent your way that you remain stable and with a good outlook
Waiting for results is the hardest time. After my unexpected CT finding it took an age to get appointments for a PET/CT and MRI to confirm it, and then a biopsy to confirm it was a secondary and not a new primary. Wishing you all the best.
