Hi all. I hope you had a great Christmas (or as good as possible). This might sound a bit odd but I was wondering if anyone here had a larger grade 3 tumor size but no lymph node involvement? Is it even possible to have an aggressive grade tumor over 2cm and be lucky enough not to have lymph nodes involved?
Hi, i had an aggressive grade 3 tumour 2.5 cm, have just finished treatment 18 months on. Hormone Neg but her 2 pos..also no node involvement t, 2 sampled were clear luckily. Typing this at 4 am, how do people sleep...what is thd magic solution..?? .
Hiya. Thank you so much for your reply. So pleased to hear you achieved PCR and that your nodes were clear too. I hope you are doing well since the end of treatment, I feel that in some ways that can be the hardest bit! I’ve just got a couple more immunotherapy sessions to go but already feel scared about treatment ending and the lack of follow up screening! Wishing you all the best for 2026 x
Hiya.
Thank you so much for your reply. It sounds like you’ve been through a lot for the last 18 months. I’m sorry you’re struggling to sleep, no sleep makes everything even harder doesn’t it! Also I think when treatment ends it’s really tough. Treatment and appts are like a security blanket and when it’s gone it’s really hard. It’s like Everyone expects you to just get on with life again and go back to how you were before but it’s impossible! I really hope your sleep gets better soon for you and hoping for a better 2026 for you.
Lisa
Yes mine was 24mm and lymph nodes and margins were clear but start 6 months of chemo on 8th January
just to be sure no stray cells are out there
Hi
I’m 63 diagnosed with BRCA2 sep 2023
was recommended to have ovaries/tubes out as I’m passed menopause, and discouraged to have DMX due to age. Lots of BC in family
I had 2nd MRI in October and a lump was found, had biopsy etc
results on 4th Nov and it’s TNBC with slight hormonal levels 3/8 so I need treatment to stop any spread
had lumpectomy on in 1st Dec all lymph nodes and margins were clear
healing really well and not too painful
start 6 months of chemotherapy on 8 January
I’m really dreading it but I know it’s the medicine that’s going to help stop any cancer returning
im in Newcastle/Gateshead and I’ve had amazing care from everyone
x we can do this x x
Hi, I’m doing well since finishing immunotherapy in October. I still get very tired though which is annoying. I had a year off work and go to the gym regularly but I’m still far below previous energy and fitness levels. I’m trying to stick with a sleep schedule to avoid sleep problems- it generally works although work stresses, even minor ones, mess it up a bit. My oncologist said long ago that I should feel significantly better by March next year, one year after finishing chemotherapy. Thanks for posting as it feels helpful to share experiences and good luck with your treatment and recovery.
