Hi, I started chemo on Friday and am self injecting filgrastim on days 3,4 and 5 so took first one this morning. Bone pain in chest, pelvis and thighs is already uncomfortable, have started paracetamol which helps but worried that if it’s this bad after just the first dose then how bad might it get?
I will ask them on Friday for stronger painkillers if necessary, I just feel super anxious waiting for every and any new symptom.
grateful for any advice or reassurance.
I'm also on filgrastim. I do my injections 30 mins after taking paracetamol and just before I go to bed. I also take daily loratidine as I was told this helps? I have had some joint pain but it's more in my pelvis and back. I told my consultant my symptoms and he was very sympathetic. He said that if I start to suffer more or worsening symptoms they can either look at different pain relief or adjust my chemo dose to have less effect on my WBC. I also feel quite nauseous on them too xx
